Café Cabaret offers an electric evening filled with eclectic performers. Roberta Miles leads a rotating cast of uncommon characters guaranteed to make your jaw drop in shock and cheeks hurt from laughter.
Roberta Miles is an award-winning monologist, published poet, Jazz singer, and staple figure in the Chicago art community. Miles’s provocative autobiographical monologues chronicle her quest for mental and physical health with brutally hilarious candor. As the producer for Cafe Cabaret and co-producer of Loose Chicks, Miles continues to push the envelope and provide a wide-range of memorable performances.
Master of Ceremonies Richard Norby is a pithy performer possessing ineffable aplomb and personality. Host Khosro Beik provides a friendly atmosphere and makes neighbors and guests feel at home and well cared for.
This month’s show features music by Clara & the Great Goddamn, storytelling by Holly Beaudry and Don Hall, belly dance by Brywn Johnson, commedia dell’art by Noel Williams, and comedy by Aasia LaShay Bullock, Mona Aburmishan and Allen M. Green.
